Dark Mart Patch 1.1


Today is the release day of Dark Mart Patch 1.1! 

Changes:

+ Added the shop keeper alchemist who gives more context to the game.  The alchemist gives more background to the story of Dark Mart and will receive more updates in the future.

+ Added the structure for a skills tree system in the game. Some abilities that were previously part of the shop will now be associated with the skill tree. The player can spend souls gathered from defeating enemies to unlock elemental abilities and customize the playstyle of their character. The skill tree will receive more updates in the future.

+ Added the Light Footed skill to the game. After hitting an enemy the player will gain a temporary speed boost.

+ Added the Stun Strike skill to the game. Occasionally when an enemy is hit they will become stunned making them unable to move or attack temporarily.

+ Added the Spark skill to the game. Occasionally on hit the player will create an electric spark that flies in a random direction and deals some damage to anything that it hits.

+ Added icons to the shop menu to make it more clear which resources are needed for each upgrade.

+ Fixed a bug where the purchase audio was still playing even if the purchase was not successful. 

+ Fixed some problems with the players movement where the sprite would flip unnecessarily.

+ Fixed a bug with the dust particles that was causing them to be overlapped when spawned in certain areas. 


I had a lot of fun working on the game this patch and I learned so many new things. I'm already excited to start working on the next one.
